We’re dog people.

For those of us who have walked alongside a dog, who know the quiet conversations and wordless understanding, who feel the unconditional love and companionship, the joyful greetings, and endless tail wags—we understand how special it is to love a dog and be loved in return. Words often fall short of capturing just how remarkable this bond truly is.

This is why we created the And Then Dog Photo Booth: to honour these connections that words cannot fully hold.

We wanted to create an opportunity for dog lovers to have a beautiful fine art portrait collection of their beloved pup crafted by the And Then team. Images to love for a lifetime.

We've set up the And Then Dog Photo Booth at Onwards Gallery (Hamilton, NSW), just in time for Christmas!

The And Then Dog Photo Booth is dedicated to creating stunning portraits that showcase the unique beauty and personality of your dog.

It’s the perfect Christmas gift, don’t you think? We’re offering several sessions before Christmas for anyone wanting to have their dog photographed, with a pair of (or single) framed, fine art prints ready to gift. Plus, we’ll have more sessions available early in the new year if you'd like to give a gift voucher this holiday season.

Here are the details:

What? A 30-minute studio session to create a collection of beautiful fine art portraits of your dog with experienced photographers Hannah and Melanie.

Where? Onwards Gallery and Studios. 6 Torpey Place, Hamilton NSW 2303

How does it work? You’re invited to bring your dog to Onwards Gallery and Studios at your scheduled time. We’ll take a moment to get to know your pup before we start. Your dog will sit on a raised platform as we begin the photo session. With professional lighting set up, we’ll capture a series of images to showcase your dog’s essence. Please note that these sessions are designed exclusively for dog portraiture, so only your dog will be featured in the photographs—humans cannot be included.

When? We have limited sessions available before Christmas between Friday 22nd - Sunday 24th November that ensure you’ll have your images and framed fine art print/s ready for Christmas Day. When you click through to book, you’ll be able to choose a session that suits you. We also have a number of sessions in early 2025 for those who would like to gift a voucher. We plan to run our dog photo booth regularly during 2025.

Packages: We offer a number of packages detailed below. Packages 1 and 2 include digital files with a refined duo print - two prints curated to sit alongside each other in either A2 (420 x 594mm) or A3 size ( 297 x 420mm) sizes. Packages 3 and 4 include digital files and one framed fine art print as either an A2 or A3 size. Package 5 includes digital files only.

How to book? You’ll find more details about the packages below. You can easily click through to book using the online form.

Gift Vouchers: You can arrange a gift voucher by simply booking the package below and selecting “Gift Voucher”. These can be redeemed in 2025.

FAQs

  • You’ll enjoy a beautiful image making experience with experienced photographers Hannah and Melanie.

    Package 1 - digital and print: $680 (inc GST)

    • 30 minute studio session.

    • Includes 10 x professionally edited, medium resolution files.

    • Two gorgeous A2 or A3, framed fine art prints. You can choose from a black, white or a Tasmanian Oak frame.

    • The prints will be ready for pick-up from Onwards before Christmas.

    Package 2 - digital only: $380 (inc GST)

    • 30 minute studio session.

    • Includes 10 x professionally edited, medium resolution files

    You’ll be sent a link so that you can download the digital files. If desired, these files can then be used to print additional images.

    • To facilitate calm in the studio, please come with a maximum of two people per dog - ideally, teenagers and older. Bringing young children may make it difficult to photograph your dog.

    • We’ll have a variety of treats and toys available, but feel free to bring along anything your dog loves to help make the session smoother.

    • Please bring your dog on a lead. Since other dogs may be present, it’s important for everyone to be on their best behavior.

    • We focus on classic, simple portraiture that highlights your dog’s natural features and spirit. If you’d like to add accessories, please do so thoughtfully, as large or bright items can distract from your dog’s beauty.

    • Dogs enjoy the company of their furry friends! If another dog is having their portrait taken upon your arrival, please wait just outside the roller doors to minimise distractions.

  • If there’s anything specific about your dog that could help us during the session—such as dietary sensitivities or behavioral quirks—please share that information when booking. This is especially important if your dog isn’t great around other dogs. Please let us know in the online booking form.

  • Onwards Gallery is conveniently located at 6 Torpey Place, Hamilton.

    Enter through to large roller door off Torpey Place. There’s plenty of parking close to the studio. You’ll find unmetered parking on Tudor Street. It’s a 1 minute walk away.

  • We suggest arriving 10 minutes before your scheduled session. Please wait on the street near the Onwards roller door. Hannah or Melanie will come to meet you and lead you through to the gallery. This will help us maintain calm as there will likely be dogs coming and going during the day.

  • If you cancel this more than three (3) calendar days before the photo session, the fee shall be refunded in full. If the cancellation occurs two (2) calendar days before the portrait date, 50% of the fee will be refunded. If the cancellation occurs one (1) calendar day before the portrait date, 100% of service fee will be forfeited.
